Parenting Through Prayer - Brown Bag Lunch Session Tomorrow

Back by popular demand, our second brown bag lunch is Friday, March 5 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“Parenting Through Prayer” is the theme.
Parishioners Terri Kern and Diane Schwartz will share personal experiences of how prayer blessed their own lives, and that of their family, during challenging situations. Enjoy the uplifting stories these women have to share. Bring your lunch along with your own story.

Snack and drinks will be provided. Questions? Contact Liz Hagen, Youth Director, at 338-4367 or Lhagen@kcnativity.org.

A Simple Day of Fasting and Prayer - March 13
Prayer and fasting are ancient spiritual practices that have long been associated with Lent. Gather for about an hour with other parishioners to begin a simple communal fast on March 13 at 9 a.m. in the chapel.

After a brief look at fasting in the scriptures and in the Christian tradition, we will reflect on the power of prayer and fasting, commit ourselves to a personal way of fasting for the day and pray together for God to support us and accept our fast. We will then go on our way to keep our fast for however long and in whatever way we each choose for the rest of the day.

To register, contact Eileen Iammartino at 685.7976 by March 11.

Friday Night Fish Fry

Please join the Nativity Knights of Columbus Fridays in the Parish Hall from 5 - 7:30 p.m. Fish Frys will be held every Friday during Lent until March 26.

Prices are $9.00 for adults ($4.00 extra charge for Shrimp), $5.00 for children 5-12 years old and children under 4 are free. Family prices are $35.00 for Fish dinners and $50.00 for Shrimp dinners.

Bakers Needed: If you would like to donate a dessert for one (or all) of our fish frys, just bring your tasty treats to the Parish Hall on Friday afternoon. Thank you for using your talents.

Volunteers Needed: If you would like to volunteer at a fish fry or are a teen needing service hours, please register on the Knights website at www.knightsofnativity.com. Please do not just show up to help; you must be signed up for a specific shift. Thank you.

Stations of the Cross

We will gather in Church to pray the Stations of the Cross each Friday through March 19, at 7 p.m. These 14 brief meditations on the last days of Jesus’ life in Jerusalem are a powerful and healing Lenten devotion. Different groups in our parish community will lead the Stations each week. Please make an effort to join us!
